Charlie Guffey is a native of Fentress County, Tennessee. Her interest in the legal field began early. While still in high school, she started working for a hometown law firm, gaining firsthand exposure to the profession that would shape her future career. 

After graduation, Charlie attended Tennessee Technological University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree, graduating cum laude in 2014. She went on to earn her Doctorate of Jurisprudence from Nashville School of Law and was admitted to the Tennessee Bar in 2019.

In 2020, Charlie founded Guffey Law, PLLC, opening offices in both Jamestown and Cookeville, Tennessee. In 2022, she was appointed Municipal Judge for the City of Jamestown, a role she continues to serve in today. In 2025, Charlie was admitted to practice law in the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Middle Districts of Tennessee. In 2026, Charlie was admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. 

Before becoming an attorney, Charlie spent years working within the legal community, learning from respected attorneys and legal professionals throughout East and Middle Tennessee. Combined with her education and professional experience, this foundation allows her to provide clients with thoughtful guidance, practical solutions, and trusted legal counsel.
