Charlie Guffey was born and raised in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee.  Early on, she had an interest in the legal field and began working for a hometown law firm while in high school. She attended Tennessee Technological University where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree.

She then began the pursuit of her Doctorate of Jurisprudence at Nashville School of Law. Charlie graduated from the Nashville School of Law and became a member of the Tennessee Bar in 2019.

Before becoming an attorney, Charlie spent many years working in the legal community learning from some of the best and brightest.
